Often I get inspiration from poetry. I came across a poem written by Bonnie Church. It was so beautiful and so inspirational that I had to adapt it into a song setting. I contacted the poet, who is from Rochester, NY, to obtain permission to use her poem. She noted what Evening’s Answers was all about. She said, “After struggling through the day, trying to figure out the ups and downs, when it seems those inner battles just won't stop, I often find the answers in solitude. And so often with the peace of the night, come the answers, in the most glorious ways.”
So many times we ask God for answers, and we are surprised by his silence. Is He really silent or are we not listening hard enough? The answers to our prayers may come when we least expect them to do so especially in the stillness of the night. Bonnie Church’s poem spoke to me. Hopefully it does for you too and reaffirms God’s glorious presence in our lives. With my music, I wanted to complement this great poem.
